Back in January our team spoke with Hanna Gregor [Hanna is the founder of a San Diego-based cold-pressed juice company called OH! Juice] to learn about the circulatory benefits of juicing. She shared a few tips on achieving better blood circulation through juicing and how to incorporate it into your everyday routine. Since we were just starting out, she offered us a root juice recipe that is as tasty as it is healthy. Now that we have a little more juicing experience under our belts, we’re ready to share one of Hanna’s more intense recipes with you: the tonic shot. It has amazing detoxifying and anti-inflammatory properties that are great for jump starting your blood circulation health. The tonic shot may not be for the faint of heart (the potent flavors can make it hard to get down), but it does make a perfect pair when combined with our stylish compression socks – it’s a circulation one-two punch!
Cold press or juice your ingredients. You can add 4 ounces of water and drink, or you can omit water and shoot it back. The best time to take your tonic shot is before or after a workout. If you’re really looking to feel the burn, take one before and after.
