    Great post-hike comfort

I bought my first pair of socks a few weeks ago because my calves are often tight/heavy after a long hike. These merino wool socks provide terrific compression and comfort for post-hike relaxation with feet raised. They are also great cold weather sleeping socks.

Wool is my choice for winter days!

I like to wear my Birkenstocks daily throughout the cold months, and wool socks keep my toes warm. Still love my cotton V&V socks, but wool are the best!!

Merino wool for hiking socks are a No Brainer!

The first day I joined a group to hike on the Wisconsin Ice Age Trail, one of the experienced hikers of the Wednesday morning bunch advised me to get socks with merino wool as the fibers will slide against themselves rather than your skin- avoiding blisters. I have bought many different merino socks over the years since and found his advice solid. Adding the benefit of compression just makes sense as it has been over 15 years now. This sock gets easier to put on as I get better at it. My hands are over 70 now and the pressure of stretching and tugging isn't as easy for me as the younger group I read in the comments, but it is really worth the effort when you find how comfortable they are and can be worn all day. They are a great sock and I imagine I will grow my Vim&Vigor wardrobe this Christmas!

    Wide Calf and Wonderful

They fit, they breath, they help me through the day be it concrete or forest floors. They are the best wide calf (true to the sizing chart) I have tried out of several brands. Bonus are the fun designs helping me to start my day not feel so "bland."
