    Compression Levels

Compression garments are made in a variety of support levels, each designed to address different needs. These levels are most commonly expressed in millimeters of mercury (abbreviated as mmHg). Generally, graduated compression is displayed in ranges. The higher the numerical value, the stronger the support level indicated. For example, a 20-30 mmHg garment will offer more support and feel tighter than a 15-20 mmHg garment.

All VIM & VIGR legwear is offered in a 15-20 mmHg compression level and select styles are available in 20-30 mmHg.

    15-20 MMHG

    Support Level: Moderate

Ideal for all-day, every day wear. Offers moderate support to reduce ankle and leg swelling, ease tired and achy legs, and aid in muscle recovery.
Commonly used for travel, mild to moderate edema, pregnancy, spider and varicose veins.

    20-30 MMHG

    Support Level: Moderate to Firm

20-30 mmHg is a medical grade compression level and often comes as a prescription or recommendation by a healthcare provider. Please consult with your healthcare provider before choosing this level of support.
Commonly used for moderate edema, lymphedema, Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT), pre and post-surgical applications, moderate spider and varicose veins.

    30-40 MMHG

    Support Level: Firm

30-40 mmHg is a prescription compression level and is often prescribed by a doctor for treating health conditions such as venous insufficiency, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and lymphedema. Please consult with your healthcare provider before choosing this level of support.

    Bought 2 for pregnancy

I bought my first pair of Vim & Vigr socks at the hospital gift shop. I loved them so much because they were wide calf AND cotton. I can hardly ever find wide calf compression socks and most of them are in that nylon/polyester material which makes me break out and just feels gross. I also love that they were cute. So when I got pregnant and needed more compression socks, obviously I bought 2 new pairs. I got some in Merino wool and omg they're a game changer. I loved them so much that I bought a pair for my other friend who is pregnant and also has trouble finding wide-calf socks. I love love love the cotton and Merino wool. Please don't stop making both! Can't stand the nylon or polyester garbage. These are the bomb and so worth the money. Also cute!!

    Great look

I like the look and feel of these stockings and all of the others that I have bought from you. The only point I have is this, both my Wife and I enjoy your your products and have some pairs of the same colors. Some of my stockings are 20-30 compression and you dou not have any indication on your stockings except the packaging to show the difference. Also in sizing if some are xl long or another size there is no indication. If there could be a change made, such as in the color tag logo to show different compression. That would be great. Thank you

    Good Quality Socks

I bought these for my 92 year old mom whose feet are always cold. She has worn compression socks (100% polyester?) for years and I had hoped the wool socks would provide some warmth. Unfortunately, they’re a little tighter than the ones she wears, and she has to struggle to put them on. While they may not be the perfect product for her, we were both impressed with the quality. I would recommend these to anyone needing compression socks and who is looking for the warmth and softness of wool. Thank you!

    the world's best socks

These are my fifth and sixth pair of VIM&VIGR socks. They wear like iron and make a magical difference in energy and, of course, reduce obvious vein bumps. My first two pairs of socks were in daily use for over five years.

    Comfy

I usually buy the nylon socks but I am glad a branched out because I really love how these feel. The wool isn’t too hot or heavy like I was worried it would be. They are perfect
